Slow or absent filling starts at the taps and inlet screens — both hoses fully open, screens clear — before the water valve takes the blame. Draining failures live in the pump filter (coins, socks, hair pins) and the drain hose's height and kinks. Leaks are honest about location: front-centre during wash suggests the door boot or detergent overdose foaming past the seals; underneath during drain points to the pump or its clamps. Noise, Shake & Error Codes
A rhythmic thump under load is usually the load itself — redistribute and rerun. A machine that walks or bangs on every spin has tired suspension rods or dampers. Grinding on older top-loaders is the coupling or clutch announcing retirement.
